Service Description

During this small-group online class, Explorers will learn about the parts of a leaf through making observations about the leaves they have collected. They will also learn about why most leaves are green and create a chlorophyll art piece using leaves that they have collected. What will Explorers learn? - They will learn about the different parts of a plant and zoom in further to look at the leaves. - They will compare different types of leaves and their importance. - Explorers will engage their senses when creating the chlorophyll art using the leaves that collect from the outdoors. - They will develop critical thinking skills and hone their creativity as they engage in the activities. How will the class be structured? Total Duration: 45 mins - 5 mins: Introduction by Facilitator - 30 mins: Story Reading & Activity Time - 10 mins: Summary & Recap What materials would you need to prepare? - Activity Sheet* - Green Leaves* - Writing Materials - Magnifying Glass (optional) Some things to note: *The classes are conducted in small group size of maximum 8 children to 1 facilitator. *Adult supervision is required for technical set-up and to ensure Explorer's safety during their expeditions. *Activity sheets will be emailed to you a few days before the start of the class for you to print out. *Price is inclusive of the activity sheets. *This class requires you to prepare some fresh green leaves / vegetables. If situation permits, we strongly encourage you to bring Explorers outdoors to observe the environment and collect the leaves together!
