Schools partner with Explorer Junior in different ways depending on their learning goals, schedule, and student profile. Our programmes can be delivered as short workshops, multi-session modules, or larger school-wide events.

Focused Workshops

Renewable Energy: Build a Solar Car Workshop

Students in this workshop explored how electrical circuits work, and built foundational knowledge through direct experimentation with Snap Circuits. From there they investigated different energy sources before applying what they have learned to a real engineering challenge: designing, building, and racing their own solar-powered car!

Every step of the build required students to think through how energy moves, how components connect, and what happens when something does not work as expected. The workshop was structured so that the science arrived when children needed it, not before. By the time they raced their finished cars, they understood solar energy not as a concept explained to them but as a force they had put to work themselves!

Applied Learning (ALP) & CCA Tracks

STEM CCAs

Students worked through structured project-based challenges, applying science and design thinking to real problems. From conducting experiments to presenting their findings, each session was designed to build confidence, independence and collaborative skills through hands-on making and inquiry.
