Calling all junior scientists!

Prepare to blast off as we explore the wonders of outer space! A three-hour STEAM workshop where children blast off into the wonders of outer space through hands-on building and science exploration.

Price: $88/pax

Date/Time: 16 (Agora) or 22 Jun (Ubi), 9.30am - 12.30pm

A young girl with long dark hair and a pink hair clip, wearing a white t-shirt with a graphic, is seated at a table drawing or writing on a sheet of paper with colorful planets and labels related to space.

Children build three hands-on projects that connect science to the real experience of space exploration. Every child takes their builds home.

PROJECT 1: VR SPACE ODYSSEY (9.30-10.30am)

Construct their own VR goggles to investigate how lenses and focal lengths create immersive 3D environments and explore planetary wonders, blending technology with a sense of awe.

PROJECT 2: TRANSPORTATION TO THE SPACE (10.30-11.15am)

Engineer a foam rocket and explore the laws of motion and aerodynamics. What makes a rocket stable? How does force dictate flight path?

PROJECT 3: THE SOLAR SYSTEM (11.15am - 12.30pm)

Construct a planetarium model while learning about the chemical compositions and physical properties of the different planets.

Cardboard Builders Lab

A cardboard builder's lab activity kit for children aged 7 to 11 with a teaching ratio of 1:5, including a cardboard basketball game, a Paper Mario paper craft scene, and Pokémon-themed playing cards, with a yellow star labeled "explorer junior" and a speech bubble saying "PLAY."

Calling junior tech titans!

Build three real playable games powered by computer vision and AI using Scratch and Google Teachable Machine. Children learn how machines "see", experiment with real-world AI, and build responsibly.

Price: $240/pax

Date/Time: 19 (Agora) or 25 Jun (Ubi), 9.30am - 3.30pm

This workshop is designed for children who are curious about technology! No prior coding experience needed. Children leave with three working games, a trained AI model and a genuinely different understanding of how the tools shaping their world actually work. What your child will build and do:

PROJECT 1: THE FACE FILTER PHOTOBOOTH (9:30-10:45am)

Create a playable photobooth in Scratch that adds live, dynamic props to your face and investigate how machines "see" key facial points and program filters to track your movements perfectly.

PROJECT 2: SPACE DRIFT CONTROLLER (11:00am-12:30pm)

Develop a challenging space navigator game controlled entirely by your body's motion.

PROJECT 3: CUSTOM GESTURE CONTROLLED (1-3.15pm)

Train your own AI model to recognize 0, 2, and 5 hand signals using Google Teachable Machine, then build a game you control with those gestures.

Privacy note: All image training is completed locally in the browser using Google Teachable Machine. No personal images, facial data or biometric information is collected, stored or uploaded to any external server at any point during the workshop.
